Angelica Devera
Angelica is the founder of Paraplanno and a Senior Paraplanner with over 10 years of experience working with multiple licensees, advisers, and outsourcing firms across Australia.
Her journey began in the Philippines, where she worked as an offshore paraplanner supporting Australian advisers. Angelica is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Registered Financial Planner (RFP) in the Philippines, and she later moved to Australia, where she completed her Master’s in Accounting.
Guided by her belief that “the way to success is through the continuous pursuit of knowledge,” Angelica has built her career on grit, passion, and purpose. Her lived experience — from offshore beginnings to her current role as a senior paraplanner — inspired her to create Paraplanno, a platform designed to make the lives of advisers and paraplanners easier.
The name Paraplanno reflects that story — a blend of “Paraplanner” and “Plano,” the Filipino word for “plan” — symbolising Lai’s fusion of Filipino resilience and Australian experience.
Paraplanno was created for paraplanners and advisers, by someone who truly understands the pain points — the manual modelling, the repetitive templates, the constant compliance pressure, and the chase for accuracy and efficiency.
